Have you served in the Armed Forces?

Are you dealing with stress, anxiety,
or insomnia due to a traumatic event
while serving?

If so, see if the HONOR Study is right for you.

About the Study

US Warfighters are exposed to high levels of stress and risk over prolonged periods of time. Many men and women who serve their country experience traumatic events that can have lingering effects – such as anxiety, insomnia, or nightmares.

If this has happened to you, you may qualify to participate in a new, confidential clinical research study (The HONOR Study). The study is for an investigational drug that may help improve trauma-related symptoms, including sleep disturbances. There is no cost to participate, and you will also be compensated for your time and travel.

Why Participate?

By joining the HONOR Study, you will receive:

  • Evaluations of your trauma-related symptoms and overall health
  • Investigational drug and study-related care at no cost*
  • Compensation for time and travel to attend study visits

* You do not need insurance to participate.

Frequent Questions
Clinical studies (also called clinical trials) are used to learn about the safety and effectiveness of possible new medications, medical devices, and medical procedures. Although there are many types of clinical trials, all must conform to strict rules set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). These rules help protect the rights and safety of those who volunteer to take part in clinical trials.
The study is being conducted by trained, qualified, licensed physicians and medical specialists.
If you qualify and choose to participate, you will receive study-related care at no cost to you. This includes investigational study drug, as well as any visits to your study doctor’s office. Health insurance is not required to participate.
Yes, you do not need a previous diagnosis of PTSD to join the study. As part of the study, your local study doctor will review your symptoms history, medications, and overall health to confirm if you are eligible to participate.
About 550 people are expected to participate in the study.
If you join the HONOR Study, your participation will last about 3 - 4 months. During this time, you will be asked to meet with your local study doctor about 5 times to provide feedback about your experiences. You will be compensated for your time and travel to attend these visits.
As with all clinical studies, your participation is completely voluntary. You may leave the study at any time without any effect on your future medical care.
